Total darkness — working behind corporate firewall and HTTP proxy

After I begun working at my new company I’ve also realized the world of Windows PCs and ugly Microsoft Office apps I had to install on my MBP to read my work email and shared calendars on Exchange servers.

I’m now a black sheep as I can see other Mac users somewhat only when people from other companies come to visit.

Living in a big corporate network where the only access to outside world is this HTTP proxy. I’m blocked from some of my daily services that do not have proxy support integrated. Lately I installed juhu client for Jaiku just to find out it’s pretty useless down here and while writing this with TextMate I found out I’ve to copy-paste it to WordPress by hand.

Atleast I got GoogleTalk working with Adium after reading this old ticket in Adium Trac.
